Civic Engagement
Civic engagement is one of the bedrock of democracy. Chinese American Parent Association, Montgomery County (CAPA-MC) strives to bridge and introduce the Chinese American community, particularly new arrivals, to local affairs such as the education and participation in elections.
On October 7, 2016, CAPA-MC held a community forum for all six Board of Education candidates. The forum serves as a way for the candidates to communicate their platform and priorities to mainly to Chinese American families. The following document is a summary of their responses to CAPA-MC and audience’s questions.
